Brian Cook: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Interview with Brian Cook (6) | | | | | Sunil | | How do your promote your e-book? | | | | Brian | | I used to advertise in print media and purchase mailing lists when I only sold a printed version of The Songwriter's Guide to Demo Submission. My focus now is on low-cost online promotion of the e-Book version of the Songwriter's Guide.
I promote my e-Books primarily through purchasing keywords. Most of my traffic is a result of keywords purchased at Goto. I also use FindWhat and am currently evaluating Sprinks.
[Editor's Note - Some time after this interview was conducted, "Goto" changed their name to "Overture"]
After reading your e-book "Buying Traffic for Pennies", I have begun aggressively adding keywords for all of my profit-centers.
Other methods of promotion include: - Monthly newsletter, "SongGuide"
- Paid and free classified ads
- Newsgroups
- Trading links and testimonials
- Traffic from my affiliates
- Search engines
- E-Bay (I've only just begun testing the waters with this one)
I have also offered free copies of my e-Book in exchange for editorial reviews in industry periodicals. | | | | | Next > >
