Les Doll: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Interview with Les Doll (4) | | | | | Sunil | | Would you say that part of your success is because you focused on niche topic? | | | | Les | | While the Internet is vast, serious and reliable information is hard to find. A search at a typical engine will return thousands of web sites and articles on a specific topic (some good, but many more just fluff and hype). I try to keep my web site and e-books focused on my main theme and hopefully provide what my visitors are looking for.
I, also think it is important to provide a 100% money back guarantee. This establishes a trust with your customers and I have had very few requests for a refund. (Which I honor immediately, by the way.) I do not want an unhappy customer! | | | | | | Sunil | | So if you had to advise somebody who is considering writing their first E-Book, what would you tell them? | | | | Les | | Write about something that interests you, if you don't know much about the subject, do some in depth research, gain the knowledge you need, then write about it. Write as if the person was across the table from you, sharing a cup of coffee. Write as if you are talking to a friend, because you will be - your customers will become your friends if your e-book is interesting and valuable. Get your friends to read and criticize your e-book, then evaluate the responses. Change it if YOU feel the changes are needed. One of the nice things about an e-book is that you can revise it at any time. The very next reader will download the revised copy. Instant editing! During creative periods, let the words and ideas flow, ignore spelling mistakes and bad grammar ... you can edit it later. | | | | | Next > >
