Les Doll: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Interview with Les Doll (5) | | | | | Sunil | | It's interesting that you've written both free and for-sale e-books. what's your strategy? | | | | Les | | I want to eventually make all my e-books free, and to support them with internal links for back end sales or paid advertising. I think a free e-book with quality content would spread around the Internet with amazing speed and wide readership. This, of course, is an ongoing project and a trial and error effort. | | | | | | Sunil | | That's an exciting goal, Les! Have you done any testing on generating revenue from your free e-books? | | | | Les | | I have included some links to affiliate programs that I am involved with... with some success, although I need to find affiliate programs and products that are more closely related to the theme of my web site. I think this would greatly enhance this revenue stream.
I would like to look more closely into advertising space for sale within the e-books and I think the free e-book idea would be more attractive to prospective advertisers. (Also making the advertising space more valuable!) I will need to write a proposal letter to prospective advertisers that will entice them to buy ad space and the download figures for my first attempts will come in handy for this. | | | | | Next > >
